چکیده

In advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) operating in continuous mode, the flow rate and concentration of oxidants such as H2O2 at mixing point influent must be controlled so that oxidant residuals effluent are minimized while organic degradation is maximized. Designing a controller to regulate therefore, its photoreactor influent, needs determination reliable process dynamic model. this study, step testing technique employed construct model for polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) UV/H2O2 annular photoreactor. The experimental design consists preparing three initial PVA concentrations 60, 280, 500 mg PVA/L conducting eight tests different inlet mass rates ranging from 0.336 125 H2O2/min. responses pH solution total carbon (TOC) measured versus time changes rates. Process models represented by transfer functions determined collected input-output data using graphical method, identification algorithm, ARX (AutoRegressive with eXogenous) Matlab environment. predict trend quite well. Variations steady state gain demonstrate nonlinear process. Besides, algorithm generates discrete could used develop digital controllers computer control photochemical reactor.

Estimation of pyrolysis product of LDPE degradation using different process parameters in a stirred reactor

Pyrolysis of low density polyethylene (LDPE) by equilibrium fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) was studied in a stirred reactor under different process parameters. In this work, the effect of process parameters such as degradation temperature (420-510°C), catalyst/polymer ratio (0-60%), carrier gas type (H2, N2, ethylene, propylene, Ar and He), residence time and agitator speed (0-300 rpm) on the c...

Single Step and Non-Catalytic Process for Formaldehyde Production from Methane using Microchannel Reactor: Theoretical Analysis

Conventionally, methane is reformed into syngas, and subsequently converted into C1-oxygenates (methanol and formaldehyde). A novel option is the catalyst-free single-step conversion of methane to C1-oxygenates. This study presents a comprehensive model of methane partial oxidation to formaldehyde as an intermediate chemical species in methane oxidation process using microreactor. The dependenc...

Modeling and Simulation of Non Linear Process Control Reactor - Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor

Chemical reactors are the most influential and therefore important units that a chemical engineer will encounter. To ensure the successful operation of a Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR) it is necessary to understand their dynamic characteristics. A good understanding will ultimately enable effective control systems design. The aim of this paper is to introduce some basic concepts of chem...
